Children & Teens

Education & Leadership

All kids have great potential. At the Y, we help them set and achieve their personal and educational goals. They gain confidence as they recognize the Y as a place where they belong and can feel comfortable exploring new interests and passions. Through leadership and academic enrichment programs such as mentoring, youth government and college preparation, we make sure that every child has an opportunity to envision a positive future, and to take an active role in strengthening the community

After School Teen Space

The Teen space is designated place for students grades 7-12 and will be available Monday through Thursday 3-7:30pm. Teens will be able to sign up for activities that they want to participate in, rather than just feeling "cared for". Some choice will be to do homework, play games, shoot hoops, plan community service objects, or just simply hang out. All of this will be facilitated by the Y staff responsible for working with teens. Program runs September thru June.
